This is a traditional dish in my country, Guatemala. I have wanted to share this dish’s goodness since I decided to have recipes in my blog. The truth is that I live in the United States, and I have experienced people who are afraid to eat beans. I supposed my upbringing and dietary customs prepared my digestive system for a potential threat known as heavy gas production. I only have one thing to say: do not be afraid!
The key to this recipe is the abundant amount of garlic and onion in it. Although there is much to say about the vitamins and nutrition, you can have when eating black beans. They are rich in iron and are regarded by doctors and nutritionists as a great option to supplement your protein intake.
Things get even better when you pair this black bean soup with rice. The combination becomes the perfect protein. It does not have to end there; I love adding cooked ground beef, plain Greek yogurt, and/or cheese. I can’t wait for you to try making this delicious recipe!
